Strategically located at Barrachkpore Kalyani Express Highway, Bhatpara is an upcoming locality of Kolkata. The other prominent road State Highway 1 intersected with this locality allows its residents to commute easily. The name 'Bhatpara' originates from the ancient name "Bhatta-Palli", where 'Bhatta' denotes the sect of Bramhin Sanskrit pandits and 'palli' denotes locality. The main town is sandwiched between the Hoogly river in the east and railway track linking Sealdah and Krishnanagar in the west. It has a rail station named Kankinara, which connects it to Kolkata through Sealdah main line to Krishnanagar and Ranaghat. It also has boat services to the other bank of Hoogly river, connecting it to Chinsura and Chandannagar. The main roadway passing through Bhatpara is called Ghosh Para Road. Public transport includes auto rickshaws running between Naihati and Bhatpara, manual rickshaws, and bus service. Rupdas Babur Ghat, Bhatpara Gure Bari, Balaram Sarkar Ghat, Panch Mukhi Hanuman Mandir, Bhatpara Kali Temple, Panchmandir(Five Temples), Aat goli and Madrail Hanuman Mandir (Madral Mahaveer Mandir) are popular places on interest. Apart from this, Bhatpara also includes prominent educational institutes, health care centers, shopping and other entertainment avenues. Good things here

Best low crowded but clean locality within Bhatpara Municipality. Nearby large playground for children. KMDA lakes nearby. Near to Bhatpara Kathpole. Naihati and Kankinara both railway stations are easily accessible within 1.5 KM.
