Kharar is a town and a municipal council located in Mohali district in the Punjab State of India. The locality is quite close to Mohali city and the area of Kharar is considered a part of the "Greater Mohali" region. Nearly 60% of the population in Kharar locality are Sikhs which makes it the second Sikh majority town located in the Greater Mohali region after Mohali. The area is a block that falls in the Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district and placed in the urban region of Punjab. It hosts one of the largest well-known shopping malls like VR Punjab Mall which is easily available for all the shopping requirements. Kharar area also serves an ideal educational hub and prominent schools including Khalsa Senior Secondary School Kharar, Arya Senior Secondary School and Women College and Henderson Jubilee Senior Secondary School located in proximity. The locality is also home to many universities such as Rayat Bahra University, Sahauran, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran and Jhanjheri and Doaba Group of Colleges. The place has its own government hospital like Kaushal Hospital, Chhabra Hospital and Sharma Multispeciality Hospital within the vicinity. Kharar area is flourished with several educational institutes of engineering, polytechnic and even bar-tending. The locale is well connected by trains, buses and public transports.

Good things here

It's a very good peaceful place good and civilized area to live I love living here the only flaw is market and chandigarh is far away from here so this residential area excuses tranquility,creating q peaceful atmosphere for residents .the society's commitment to cleanliness is commendable,contributing to a pleasent living experice.however,the lack of convenient transportation poses challenge ,making comutting difficult to residents

Market and chandigarh is far so transportation poses a challenge the absence of nearby marker compounds this issue,becessiating long trips for daily essentials .access to quality healthcare is also limited,with good gospitalt situated at a considerable distance

My neighborhood offers a variety of convenient transportation options that cater to different needs.Public transportation is readily available ,with serval bus hub

One thing I dislike about the place is the occasional traffic congestion during peak hours, especially on the main road leading to the city center.While public transportation is available

Good things here

it's good for investment and residence. I think in future when you have money you may be residence of silence town.that is the good because there is no noise of traffic.

It is a very nice plato live if you are a student. You are studyand dont want to pay much they understhis and you will get great rooms .
