The size of the area is approximately 3.33 square kilometers, as per the 2020 census. The official languages of Mayapuri are Hindi and English. The place is surrounded by many beautiful and important locations. It is a place that was known for its heavy metal hub and small industries in earlier days. However, due to recent government sanctions, a large number of heavy metal industries have been moved to other places. As a result, the place has now become a place for light metal factories along with lots of residential areas. Automobile industries are also a part of this place. The other important business industry of Mayapuri is the recycling of scrap materials along with the selling of rescued vehicle parts. In the year of 2010, a massive radiological accident affects Mayapuri badly in the scrap yards. After investigation, it has been observed that no safety measures were taken for the scrap materials.
