Shakti Nagar is a neighbourhood situated along the G. T. Karnal road and near the main campus of University of Delhi, in the North district of Delhi. The Shakti Nagar colony, spread on both sides of the Inder Chandra Shastri Marg. Comprising close to dwelling units, the colony is split into 39 blocks and has about 22 parks including the famous Nagia Park. Kamla Nagar, Roop Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Shastri Nagar, Rana Pratap Bagh, and Ghanta Ghar are the surrounding neighbourhood of Shakti Nagar. Shakti Nagar and its adjoining neighbourhoods were centre of political activity during the late British Raj and the first two decades after Independence. Established in 1982 North Delhi Pathology Clinic an Accredited Medical Reference laboratory of national repute is situated in this area. The area has well-maintained and luxurious bungalows and residential flats.

There are a lot of street vendors that makes the daily essentials easily available. Auto and cabs are available easily. There are proper street lights in the area. There are good markets, hospitals and schools near the area. Power cuts are quite frequent.

Parks are well maintained. It is one of the safest area of Delhi NCR. Water supply is good. Traffic jams are an issue in the area specially during peak hours. Also, the traffic jams causes pollution.

Shakti Nagar is a lovely and lovely neighbourhood. Nearby are all necessary amenities including stores, hospitals, schools, and colleges. Since there is less traffic and excellent parks, anyone may have fun and feel content here.
