Arwal is the administrative headquarter of Arwal District in Bihar, India. Previously, it was a part of the Jehanabad District. This town is located on the Right Bank of river Son, a tributary of the river Ganges. The total area of the Arwal district is 638 sq. km. The coordinates of Arwal town are 25.25°N and 84.68°E and have an average elevation of 220 ft above sea level. The temperature during the daytime remains high at an average of 41°c and nighttime, it falls to around 32°C maximum part of the year, with the highest rainfall during June. The estimated population of the town is 588,000. Hindi, Urdu, and Magahi are widely spoken languages of Arwal.
