Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Ltd: All about BRPNNL

With an aim to construct bridges and roads in Bihar, the state government established the Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Limited (BRPNNL) in 1975, under the Companies Act, 1956. The organisation overlooks civil engineering projects, which includes building bridges, irrigation projects, sports complexes and medical colleges.

Revival of BRPNNL

Initially, when the BRPNNL was started, it undertook the projects of roads and bridge construction but went under liquidation soon after. In 2005, the company was once again revived to build large-scale infrastructure in Bihar. Projects were implemented at a fast pace and a new flagship project, Mukhyamanti Setu Nirman Yojana, was started. While all pending projects were completed, a large number of new projects were also announced turning this company into a profit-making entity.

Major projects by BRPNNL

The organisation has created a number of bridges and large infrastructure projects in the state. Connectivity to the interior regions of Bihar has improved manifold, owing to the rapid construction spree of the BRPNNL. Here are some of the most prominent projects by the body:

So far, the corporation has completed over 1,300 projects and many other major infrastructure projects are in the process of construction.

If you want to apply for tenders of the BRPNNL, you can do so online, by following these steps:

Step 1: Visit the BRPNNL’s official website (click here) and click on the ‘Tenders’ option from the top menu.

Step 2: You will be redirected to a new page, where you will be able to see the available tenders, details and the last date.

Step 3: Click on the tender you want to apply for. A PDF will be downloaded, which will have all the information related to the application date, earnest money deposit and requisite information.
