This place is one of the oldest locality of Kolkata, known for a lots of available water bodies, lakes and fountains. Connectivity with sealdah railway station and bus terminal is excellent. Nearby schools, university, hospitals, hotels, food outlets, supermarket and big malls gives so much value to this place. Even power supply and running water supply is 24*7 available. In my opinion it's above par in terms to every available facilities. read more
Things need improvement
Overcrowded and lacks regular maintenance of main roads by municipality. During monsoon water logging creates so much difficulty in travelling. Also insufficient and dim street lights conditions makes it even worse. Lacks regular police patrolling to ensure safety and security especially during night. read more

Good things here
The electricity charges are as per the government in the locality and their easily accessible schools and restaurants. The quality of roads are very good and they are built with good standard materials. The locality is very safe even for children going out alone and there is no history of crime in the neighbourhood. read more
