It is located at 19.2022° N, 73.0025° E. It has a population of 245973 and the total area occupied is 14.55 km2. Kalwa has a moderate climate with rainfall in the summer and dry spells in the winter. The average temperatures vary from 38°C to 24°C. Marathi being the official language, Hindi is spoken as well.
