Kalher is comfortable to live in and has good livability but is a little bit on the outskirts of Thane so commuting to the centre of the city on a daily basis is tiresome. Industrial hubs and 2 major highways are close by but there are also frequent traffic jams. The neighbourhood is nice and decent.

Kalher has plenty of open spaces, where new projects are proposed and the locality offers comfortable accommodation. There are issues of garbage clearance, safety and traffic congestion. The neighbourhood is good and mostly consists of employees in the industrial area nearby.
