Tiruvottiyur is a fast-developing locality within the premises of Chennai city. It is located in the northern region of Chennai. Due to its close proximity to Parrys and Chennai Central along with relatively cheaper residential spaces and decent amenities, it is fast becoming a highly sought after residential destination. Tiruvottriyur which is one of the oldest habitations one the seaside, has quite a diverse population due to the industrial units, trading activity and nearby fishing ports. there is no shortage of water supply in this which is the good thing about this locality. water is available here

there is no medicine shop in near which is the bad thing about this locality and there is a lack of electricity supply and the road is not wide and clean.

road side street lights are not so bright some time here crime activities happened this is so scary

moderate climate and good environment has given the area a pleasant appeal. regular police patrol and vigil keeps the locality safe and secure. grocery stores and stationary shops are all available , all basic necessities are available .

the locality is very well connected through road and rail. the public transport service is excellent and there are many buses which frequently travel on these roads and cater to the transportation needs of the residents.
