Kasba is a locality of South Kolkata, in West Bengal, India. It is situated in the southern part of the city encircled by the Sealdah South section of the Eastern Railways to the west, Dhakuria and Haltu to the south, the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass to the east, and the locality of Tiljala to the north. It is situated near East Kolkata Township and Gariahat, the two busiest locations in Kolkata. Other prominent and busy areas near Kasba include Dhakuria, Jadavpur, Tangra, Park Circus, and Rashbehari Avenue in Ballygunge. Kasba enjoys good overall connectivity and availability of public transportation. It has several notable apartment complexes, including Orion Exotica, Megh Mani, Aspirations Crescent, Shivom Astera, and Roopkatha Apartments. Kasba is well-connected via a two-lane road, namely Rashbehari Ave, which links the locality to EM Bypass and Gariahat Road. Public and private buses connect Kasba with the rest of the city. It is served by the Ballygunge Junction railway station, which is just 1.3 km. Moreover, Blue Line metro rail service is easily accessible with Kalighat metro station placed 4 km from Kasba and is reachable in about 20 minutes.

Good things here

This area offers excellent transportation facilities available at all times, including autorickshaws. The environment is clean and hygienic, complemented by a good atmosphere. A nearby market provides convenience, while well-maintained grounds and parks offer recreational spaces. Both private and government hospitals and good schools are easily accessible. The presence of streetlights ensures safety, making it a safe place for night walks, especially for women.

Things need improvement

Water shortage is the main problem. High polluted area because of transportation. Parking issue is the frequent problem. Road conditions are not good. Frequent traffic jams at junctions. No metro connectivity at the area. Petrol pump is faraway. Hotel foods are not good.

Good things here

Living for the past 2 years, the area has good transportation facilities with cabs and shared autos available. Many amenities like good schools, and markets with all essential are nearby. Many good healthcare centers are available here with modern amenities. This place is suitable if living with families due to it's all needed amenities within easy reach.

Things need improvement

Main concern I have about this area is about traffic congestion, which occurs during office times and on peak hours, which cause alot of frustration. There is no metro service nearby. Also certain road in some area need good maintenance and upkeep. Minor amount of noice and air pollution can face during busy hours. These are the main concern to live here, otherwise it's quite enjoyable atmosphere.

Good things here

We don't have any scarcities here as this place is located in the heart of the city. Best shopping complexes, markets and super speciality hospitals are located in the surrounding. Parks are very well maintained here. Roads are well maintained and also the public transport facility is also very good.

Things need improvement

CCTV is installed inside premises of the society.Security system is good in the society. Security guards are available. Lifts are available and it is maintained properly in the society. Paintings are also done on time. The constructuion quality is good in the society, issues like seepage, leakage and plaster issues are not faced in the society. Other facilities and amenities like gym, swimmingpool, club house, play area for kids are available in the society.
