Victoria Hospital is a pre-Independence medical institution and one of the oldest medical institutions of India, established in 1897 by the then queen of Mysore, her highness Kempananjammani Avaru, in commemoration of the 60-year reign of Queen Victoria. Today, the hospital is the second largest hospital in India and accommodates over 1,000 patients at any given time. The Victoria Hospital is a teaching hospital and affiliated to the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, one of the premier medical colleges of India.

The unit is the first of its kind, a 50-bed burns ward with a fully supportive 24/7 blood bank available.
  • Outpatient Services: Operating between weekdays and Sundays, outpatient services provide free patient drugs and basic tests. Chairs with wheels and stretchers are used for the patients who need them. The six ambulances are serviceable for taking patients to the hospital. All patients get an OPD card for their initial consultation and follow-up.
  • Lab Services: The laboratory is up-to-date with its modern analyzer, which guarantees high quality data delivered timely. The timings for sample collection are given for routine and emergency observations.
