June 16, 2023: The Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (AP Tidco) houses, which were constructed at Mallayapalem of the Gudivada mandal for Gudivada urban residents, will be handed over to the beneficiaries today. After many postponements of the distribution of these 300 sqft Tidco houses since 2020, all 143,600 beneficiaries across the state will finally receive the houses with complete rights for a token payment of Rs 1 each. Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will formally hand over 8,912 Tidco houses to the beneficiaries at Gudivada and address a public meeting there.

A total of 8,912 Tidco houses were built in Mallayapalem in Gudivada municipality of Krishna district. Over 30,000 people can be domiciled here. The houses were constructed in the extent of 77.46 acre, of which 32.04 acre were awarded in 2008 and 45.42 acre awarded in 2009. The outlay of total project is Rs 720.28 crore, of which the central government’s share is Rs 133.36 crore, the state government’s share is Rs 289.94 crore and the beneficiary share is Rs 299.66 crore.
Adjacent to this housing layout, another 4,500 houses are under construction, out of the planned 7,728 house plots on 178.63 acres. So far, the government has distributed 30.60 lakh house site pattas across the state, in which construction of over 21 lakh houses under the ‘Navaratnalu – Pedalandariki Illu’ is progressing and the value of 30.6 lakh house sites across the state is Rs 77,000 crore.
