Ashiana Housing launches housing project for senior citizens in Chennai

The phase-1 of Ashiana Vatsalya will offer 258 units.

February 28, 2024: Real estate developer Ashiana Housing has launched Ashiana Vatsalya, a residential project for senior citizens in Chennai that spans across 17.9 acre. The project is located inside Mahindra World City.

The phase-1 will have 258 units and an array of amenities. The total project cost is around Rs 400 crore. The land for Ashiana Vatsalya is held under perpetual lease. The entire project will be constructed in eight years and will be delivered in five phases, each to be completed in approximately two to two and half years, mentioned the company statement.

Ankur Gupta, joint managing director, Ashiana Housing, said, “With this project, we aim to raise the bar and set new benchmarks in retirement living. The investment for Ashiana Vatsalya is primarily funded through internal resources, supplemented by a loan of 8-10%.”

Actor Saranya Ponvannan who was present at the launch said, “I am happy to be a part of the unveiling of the show home of this project and to know that at Ashiana Vatsalya, the company aims to create a community where seniors can live independently and enjoy their golden years with peace of mind”.
