February 16, 2024: Bangalore-based real estate developer Brigade Group plans to launch more than 6.5 million square foot (msf) of residential projects this fiscal predominantly in Bangalore and Chennai that are likely to entail an investment of around Rs 2,700 crore Pavitra Shankar, managing director, Brigade Enterprises Limited said as per media reports.
The company has so far launched 4 msf in Bangalore across different submarkets; in the coming four quarters, we look to launch projects in Hyderabad and Chennai in addition to Bangalore, Pavitra Shankar said, as cited in the reports.Â
Brigade Enterprises recorded a profit of Rs 56 crore in the current financial year. The company has a presence in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mysore, Kochi, Gift City-Gujarat, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangalore and Chikkamagaluru across residential, office, retail and hotels.
When asked about the company’s expansion to Delhi-NCR and Mumbai markets, Pavitra Shankar said that the company is focusing more on South India. As we have invested here in terms of having a presence and creating a network, when we enter a market, we want to be present across segments – office, retail, residential and hospitality. We much rather go deep into a market than spread across one-off projects in multiple markets, she said as cited in a Hindustan Times report.Â
