May 9, 2023: The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), in collaboration with Federal Bank, has introduced the cheque deposit machine facility for Chennai property tax payment.
Inaugurated by mayor R Priya, the machines are kept in the Rippon building Chennai and regional deputy commissioner offices.
Citizens can use the automatic machine to pay Chennai property tax through cheque and generate an acknowledgement. Cheques can be addressed to the GCC commissioner. It will be collected and processed in a regular interval of a few days.
In addition to cheque payment, one can pay the Chennai property tax through credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, QR code, etc.
