The City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) on March 5, 2024 presented a Budget of Rs 11,839.29 crore for FY24-25 for the various infrastructural projects in Navi Mumbai.
These include the Navi Mumbai International Airport, Cidco Mass Housing Project, Navi Mumbai Metro, NAINA and the new water supply schemes. The revised budget estimates of FY2023-2024 was Rs 7,025 crore expenditure against receipts of Rs 7,076 crore.
“Along with these ambitious projects, other important schemes such as transportation projects and water supply have been allocated substantial funds in this budget. This will help finish projects within the scheduled time,” said Vijay Singhal, vice-chairman and MD, Cidco, according to media reports.
The Budget will also cover projects including Thane Cluster Development, Nodal Works, Ulwe Coastal Road, Kharghar-Turbe Link Road, Railways, Palghar district headquarters, corporate projects and new town projects.
