CSC transport portal: Apply for driver’s licence and other RTO services online

The government official CSC transport portal enables citizens to apply for driver’s licence and avail of several other services only without the need to visit any RTO. Here is a comprehensive guide.

Citizens of India can renew their duplicate registration certificates and driving licences and access various RTO services at CSC centres using Aadhaar card authentication. The Indian government’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways have reached an agreement via the Common Service Centre (CSC). The e-Sarthi and the e-Bahn sites have both been made online on the CSC portal. If you want to take advantage of any of RTO’s offerings, you must visit the local Common Service Centre.

The Common Service Centres will offer e-transport services, such as new vehicle registration and renewal, NOC registration, RC information updates and more. The standard service centres stand to gain significantly from this arrangement, and its operators profit handsomely. Let us find out more in detail.

CSC transport: Benefits

Obtaining a driver’s licence is challenging for residents in rural regions, particularly women. The availability of various RTO services would be more straightforward due to the existence of CSC centres in villages and towns across India. A user may pick the time slot and date for their visit using the CSC transport site according to availability. In addition, they can also check the current status of their registration application at any time. Some of the key benefits of the CSC transport portal are:

  • The general public will no longer have to visit RTOs. They can avail of the same services from Common Service Centres.
  • Citizens will no longer need to go through third parties to apply since they may do so directly on this site.
  • Citizens may apply for a new driver’s licence or renew an existing one.
  • New car registrations and renewal of car registration can be done online via CSC transport.
