DHBVN new electricity connection: Documents required

Proof of ownership 

  • Copy of sale deed/ the allotment letter or lease deed or rent deed in the applicant’s name. 
  • Tax demand notice or property tax receipt as proof of ownership and rent deed or any other legal proof of being a tenant and paying rent as proof of occupancy.

Proof of identity (where the applicant is an individual)

  • Aadhar card 
  • Electoral identity card 
  • Pan card 
  • Passport 
  • Driving licence 
  • Ration card 
  • Photo identity card issued by government agency 

Where the applicant is a company, trust, govt. dept, or educational institution, the application form shall be signed by an authorised person along with a relevant resolution/ authority letter of the company/ the institution concerned. In the case of a registered company, all the directors shall be jointly and severally liable.

  • Visit the DHBVN’s official website.  

  • On the homepage, you will find the tab labelled “my account.”

  • A drop-down menu will appear. 
  • To register, choose the corresponding text.

  • After that, a new page will appear. 
  • Please fill out all of the data in an accurate manner.

  • After you have completed filling out all of the data, click the “Submit” button.

Note: If you are unable to access your previous mobile number, please call the Customer Care Centre on the toll-free number 1912 or 18001804334 so that they may reset your account and help you to register again. 

 

DHBVN: How to apply for new electricity connection online?

  • Visit the DHBVN’s official website

  • On the homepage, you will find the option labelled “new connection.”
  • To set up a new connection, choose the corresponding icon. 

  • After that, a new page will appear where you can do the following actions.
    • Information for consumers 
    • Apply for a new connection 
    • Track the status or pay charges online 
    • Calculate your charges 
  • Select ‘apply’ under the ‘apply for new connection’ box. 

  • A new application form page will appear. 

  • Please fill out all of the data thoughtfully and accurately.
  • After you have completed filling out all of the data, click the ‘Apply’ button.
  • The E-form number will be successfully created. Keep it close at hand.

Mandatory: If you do not pay the fees within seven days after the day you submitted your application, your request will be cancelled.

Note: Before continuing to fill out the form, kindly verify your subdivision and category.
