Devotees may be able to get a glimpse of Ram Lalla for a period of 20 seconds when the Ayodhya Ram Temple opens its gates for visitors after its inauguration in January 2024, temple construction committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra told news agency PTI on September 26.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the trust set up for building and managing the temple, also plans to keep the temple open for darshan for 12 hours a day.
Based on that timeframe, at least 1.5 lakh devotees will be able to get a glimpse of the Bal Roop of Lord Ram (Lord Ram as a child) at the temple, Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra general-secretary Champat Rai said.
In September this year, the trust told media that the consecration ceremony for the Ayodhya Ram Temple will take place on January 22 of 2024. The construction of the ground floor of the three-storey temple is expected to be completed by December this year.
