Diwali Vastu tips to invite wealth and prosperity in your home

The main entrance door is where positive energies and goddess Lakshmi enter the house.

Diwali is a festival widely celebrated across the country and some parts of the world. Diwali celebration is synonymous with decorating the house with lights, exchanging gifts and performing Lakshmi Puja. According to Hindu traditions, Diwali is associated with Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, fortune and prosperity. Vastu Shastra emphasises some rules to be followed on Diwali, which invite good luck and happiness in the house.

Declutter and deep clean the house

Most people begin Diwali preparations weeks ahead of the festival. Start by decluttering the house and organise deep cleaning. Discard old, broken furniture, mirrors, thorny plants, etc., in the house. Repair non-functional electronic items, clocks and creaking doors. All these are sources of negative energy. Thus, decluttering and cleaning ensure a smooth flow of energy. Make sure there are no obstructions in open spaces.
