Do you want to buy a house close to a temple? Know what Vastu says

Check out this guide to understand whether you should buy a property close to a temple.

Vastu has a positive impact on one’s life as it deals in channelising positive energy. This energy brings in prosperity, luck, and peace. Therefore, people prefer following some of the principles of Vastu in their houses or office. In addition to observing how complaint Vastu is inside your house, Vastu Shastra has a deep connection with buying a property, including plots, commercial space, etc. One such aspect is the connection of Vastu with temple. With temple tourism on high in India, the real estate market in these places are getting prominence.

Why should you avoid buying a house close to a temple?

According to a post shared by Prof. Dr. Manoj Kalantri, Ph.D, D.Sc, D.Lit, Eshans Emporium on Quora, “Regardless of the deity or the god residing in a temple if it is right in front of the house it is regarded to be inauspicious as per the classical scriptures. It is typically called ‘Deol Vedh’ (Obstruction caused by a temple). The severity of this form of a ‘Vedh’ is enhanced if the deity faces the residence directly. Further, if the residence has its door facing such that the deity looks right into it then the severity is further enhanced. However, if the house is located outside the perimeter of the shadow cast by the pinnacle of temple, then one need not worry.”

One of the most important rules is that the shadow of a temple’s Shikhara should not fall on the house you are planning to buy. When buying a house near a temple, it is important to know which god is placed inside the temple.

According to a post on Quora by Dr. Pooja Agrawal, Vastu consultant, clinical hypnotherapist, astrologer, a house should not be behind or on the left side of the Vishnu temple. Also, houses should not be in front of the temples of ferocious deities like Kali, Narasimha, etc. If at all, the temple is near the house, we should check the nature of the main deity of the temple whether the deity is Roudra, or Soumya type. We need to be much more careful with Roudra deities. These rules also apply to common people and not for the ones who are engaged in temple activities or serve in temples.”

Directions

While buying a house near a temple, if the temple faces the south or the west side, it is beneficial for your family. However, if the temple faces north or eastern side, it is not a great sign. If it is nearer than this distance, some experts believe that there may be a negative impact on the family living in.
