DTCP bans property registration in Gurgaon’s 65 illegal colonies

These illegal colonies are located across Farrukhnagar, Kadipur and Harsaru.

The Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) has identified 65 illegal colonies on the outskirts of Gurgaon and asked the revenue department to stop property registrations immediately. The DTCP has written a letter to revenue officials asking them to make sure that registration of property deeds in these colonies does not take place without the ‘No-Objection Certificate’ (NOC) under Section 7A of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act.

These illegal colonies are located across Farrukhnagar, Kadipur and Harsaru. According to a recent survey by the DTCP, these are being developed without the permission of the authorities concerned. The DTCP has also released a list of 15 villages where illegal colonies are being developed. These villages include  Sultanpur, Sadhrana, Saidpur Mohammadpur, Kaliyawas, Budheda, Chandu, Pavla Khurspur, Wazirpur, Iqbalpur, Jhanjhraula, Fazilpur Badli, Gopalpur, Dhankot, Kherki Majra and Garhi Harsaru.

From time to time, the DTCP issues a public appeal, asking people not to buy plots in illegal colonies. In the past six months, it has also recommended around 50 FIRs against the illegal development of colonies.
