Karnataka ePASS scholarship
The Karnataka ePASS scholarship is given the name KAR-ePASS. The Department of Backward Classes Welfare, a division of the Karnataka state government, launched the online platform. The KAR-ePASS scholarship portal allows students in classes XI and up to check their eligibility status and apply for various programmes, including post-matric scholarships, housing and food assistance, and Vidyasiri scholarships.
Telangana ePass scholarship
Also called TS ePass Scholarship, the Telangana ePASS scholarship programmes are open to students in class IX through postgraduate level studies as well as those who want to pursue international education. The Telangana Welfare Department started the TS ePass Scholarship scheme to aid students pursuing professional, polytechnic, and diploma-level courses.
Students can apply for the TS ePass Scholarship if they are looking for Telangana Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, or Overseas Scholarships. The TS ePASS scholarships are open to applicants enrolled in specific programmes under the SC/ST, BC, EBC, differently-abled welfare, or minority categories.
Andhra Pradesh ePASS scholarship
The AP ePASS scholarship portal, now known as JnanaBhumi, was launched by the Andhra Pradesh government. The AP ePASS scholarships are open to students in Andhra Pradesh who are members of the SC, ST, BC, EBC, kapu, differently abled, and minority communities. Candidates can apply for the ePASS scholarships via the JnanaBhumi portal. They are open to students from class V through the postdoctoral level as well as those who wish to continue higher education abroad.
ePass scholarship: Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for ePass scholarship, a student must meet the following eligibility criteria.
- The applicant must reside in the particular state permanently.
- Candidates should belong to SC, ST, BC, EBC, or Minority categories.
- For SC/ST categories, annual household income cannot exceed Rs. 2 lakhs. Yearly revenue for BC/EBC categories must be less than Rs. 1.50 lakh in remote regions and Rs. 2 lakhs in urban locations.
- Applicants are not eligible for scholarships if they are admitted under sponsored or management quota students.
- Students enrolled in online or part-time courses are not eligible for the programme.
- Individuals with physical impairments can enrol, provided their family’s yearly salary is below or equivalent to Rs. 1 lakh.
- The applicant’s attendance must be at least 75% each trimester to qualify for the award.

ePass scholarship 2023: Application process

- Go to the Electronic Payment & Application System of Scholarships’ (ePass) official website.
- As per your requirements, select either “Post matric service”, “Pre matric scholarship service”, or “Overseas scholarship service” from the drop-down menu.
- To apply for a state-specific ePass Scholarship, select your state. For example, if Telangana is your home state, select the TS ePass scholarship.
- Select “Register/fresh registration” from the menu on the new page.

ePass scholarship: Reward amount
Karnataka:
- ePASS Karnataka Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) awards a maximum of Rs. 3,500 per annum.
- Maximum monthly award of Rs. 1,500 is offered for the ePASS Karnataka Food & Accommodation Scholarship (FAAS) over ten months.
- Concessionary Fee (FC) Scheme for ePASS in Karnataka offers a maximum of Rs. 1,750 per year in fees for training, lab work, sports, and readers.
- The annual allowance for the student residing in a hostel is Rs. 20,000.
Telangana:
- Telangana National Talent Search Examination scholarship awards Rs. 1,250 for intermediate first and second year each and Rs. 2,000 for postgraduate study.
- Telangana PMS scholarship offers up to Rs. 20,000 per annum.
- Telangana offers a monthly scholarship of Rs. 1,000 through the NMMSS programme.
ePass scholarship: Criteria for selection
Candidates for this scholarship are chosen based on the following selection criteria:
- Students should apply for the scholarship online within one month of course enrollment.
- The bonafide declaration should be issued by the college or school’s administration as soon as the hard copy of the application is turned in to the college.
- Every year, physical verification takes place twice.

Can I get a fellowship for last year?
No, you can only avail the scholarship for the current year. Any claims for awards from the previous year are prohibited.
