Faridabad Jewar Expressway project route and latest updates

The Faridabad Jewar Expressway project is being developed at a cost of Rs 2,414.67 Cr.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has started working on the Faridabad-Jewar Expressway, a greenfield expressway project that will link Faridabad (NCR) in Haryana with the upcoming Jewar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh. The Faridabad Jewar Expressway is expected to be completed by June 20, 2025.

The Faridabad Jewar Expressway project is being developed under the government’s ambitious Bharatmala Pariyojana. The six-lane express highway will link Sector-65 in Ballabgarh to Dayanatpur town near Jewar. The expressway is expected to reduce the distance between Faridabad and Jewar Airport to 31 km from the current 90 km. Construction work on the project started on June 22, 2023.

Faridabad Jewar Expressway route

The upcoming Faridabad Jewar Expressway will start from the Link Road junction on the Delhi Mumbai Expressway near Sector-65 in Faridabad and will provide a direct link to Jewar Airport. According to the development plans, around 22 km of the total highway route will fall in Haryana, and the remaining 9 km will fall in Uttar Pradesh. The project includes a 10-km-long service road lane on either side of the highway.

Faridabad Jewar Expressway: Interchange development

According to the NHAI, the authority responsible for the construction and management of the Faridabad Jewar Airport Expressway, the Maujpur Chhainsa-Mohana Road already has an entry-exit point for the Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal Expressway, around 6.5 km away from Mohana village.

An interchange at the Mohana village is under construction, which will connect the KGP expressway to the Jewar route. The Mohana-Baghpur-Falaida Road, which runs close to the border between Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, is under renovation to provide entry and exit ramps. This will ensure the convenience for people from both the states.
