One of the well-known tourist attractions in Dehradun that a visitor must see is Gandhi Park. It is the oldest park located in the centre of Dehradun, close to the Paltan Market and the Ghanta Ghar clock tower. The park is now a jogging, exercise and yoga area. With lush landscaping, flowers and different kinds of bushes, the park draws a large number of tourists all year long. The Kargil War Memorial Soldier Statue was built inside the park.

Gandhi Park: How to reach?

By air: The Jolly Grant Airport, known as Dehradun Airport, is about 30 km from here.

By rail: The park is about 2 km from Dehradun Train Station (DDN).

By road: The park is accessible by taxis, rickshaws or private vehicles as it is situated on the Rajpur thoroughfare.

Gandhi Park: Entry fees

There is no charge to enter Dehradun’s Gandhi Park. Therefore, anyone—locals or visitors—can enter the park, enjoy this lovely park, and unwind here. However, there is a Rs 20  fee for the children’s park.

 

Gandhi Park: Timings

The park is open every day of the week, with varying hours of operation. The park is open from 5 AM to 9 AM and from 4 PM to 6.30 PM.
