Govt sanctions Rs 1,894.76 cr for construction of Jaunpur Bypass

The 4-lane project will ease traffic in the densely built-up part of Jaunpur city in UP.

February 27, 2024: The government will spend Rs 1,898.76 crore for the construction of 29-km Jaunpur Bypass (Package-1) on the Jaunpur-Akbarpur section of the National Highway-135A in Uttar Pradesh.

In a post on microblogging site X, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said the 4-lane road project will ease traffic in the densely built-up part of the Jaunpur city.

 

 

“The development of the greenfield bypass will also provide connectivity to the National Highway-128 A, the National Highway-731 and the National Highway-31. The objective of this project is to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow and reduce travel time of road users. The highway also includes a major bridge over river Ganga which will improve the connectivity of the region,” the minister said.
