June 19, 2024: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority on June 18, 2024, unveiled a development plan with a Rs 73 crore budget for projects such as road resurfacing, LED light installation in rural areas, an open gym, and road beautification. A significant project is the resurfacing of the Char Murti Chowk to Tigri Roundabout road, allocated Rs 7 crore, with tenders already initiated and completion expected within a month.
The plan also includes installing LED lights in village plots, costing Rs 6.85 crore, to enhance safety and visibility. Additionally, an open gym will be constructed in the 100-metre wide green belt near Galaxy Vega Society, and DSC Road and NH-24 will undergo beautification, with a budget of Rs 1.49 crore.
Post-election code removal, GNIDA has intensified development activities. CEO N G Ravi Kumar has directed departments to expedite maintenance and construction efforts. Tenders have been issued by various departments, including the Project, Horticulture, Electrical Engineering, and Water-Sewer Departments.
The Project Department has issued tenders for 12 projects totaling Rs 47 crore. These include the Char Murti Chowk to Tigri Roundabout resurfacing, completion of the Panchayat House near Shiv Temple in Pali, drain coverage and cleaning in Sector 1 and Jewar 3, and residential plot development in Pali.
The Water-Sewer Department announced tenders worth Rs 17.51 crore for the maintenance and operation of the 20 MLD STP in Sector Ecotech III, electrical and mechanical works for the Gangajal project zonal reservoirs, and GIS mapping.
