Haryana RERA imposes Rs 25 lakh fine on Yashvi Homes for misleading ad

The misleading advertisement is about the Golden Gate Residency project in Gurgaon developed under the DDJAY 2016.

February 22, 2024: The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) Gurugram, has pulled up Yashvi Homes for publishing a misleading advertisement in a mainstream daily. Taking a suo motu action, the regulatory authority has levied Rs 25 lakh as penalty on Yashvi Homes.

The advertisement is about a residential project Golden Gate Residency, Sector 3, Farukhnagar, Gurugram that is developed under the state government scheme Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana (DDJAY) 2016. The developer has however advertised the project as being developed under DDJAY 2024, which is misleading.

The advertisement doesn’t include RERA registration number and the RERA website where people can seek project details and status. Also, the advertisement mentions an array of amenities that was not part of the original layout plan which was submitted during the project’s RERA registration. Both are violations under the RERA Act, 2016.
