How to apply for a legal heir certificate in Delhi?

 

  1. Singed copy of the self-declaration form along with the application form.
  2. One passport-size coloured photograph of the applicant and all the surviving family members (5cm x 4.5cm or 2”x1.75”).
  • Should include a full face, a front view and open eyes.
  • Should be of the full head from the top of the hair to the shoulder.
  • Should be in a plain white or off-white background.
  • There should not be any shadows on the face or background.
  • Should have a natural expression (closed mouth).
  • Should not include sunglasses or hats.

Note:

  • In case you are applying at a CSC, self-attested copies of the original documents must be produced.
  • Physical verification of some documents may be necessary at the counter, even in the case of online applications.
  • A scanned copy of the original self-declaration has to be uploaded while applying online and the original declaration has to be submitted to the concerned SDM/tehsildar/CSC personally or through speed-post/registered post along with the application.
