Documents required
Few very common documents will be necessary to apply for the SBI Credit Cards
- Identity proof: Aadhar card, Pan card, voter’s ID card, driving licence or passport.
- Address proof: Aadhar card, driver’s licence, utility bills like electricity bill, gas bill, water bill, etc., pension payment order or allotment of accommodation letters.
- Income proof: Form 16, ITR for self-employed. Salary slip or bank statement of last three months for salaried employees.
- Age proof: Class 10 report certificate, birth certificate or voter’s ID card.
Offline applications
- Visit the nearest SBI branch and contact the credit card representative.
- Inform them about your requirements and they will suggest the best credit cards from their vast range.
- Submit the documents required along with the filled-up credit card application form.
Online applications
- Visit the SBI Credit Card Online – SBI Credit Card Services | SBI Card website.
- Bring your cursor on the Credit Card tab, and a pop-up menu will be shown.
- Click on ‘Apply Now’ from the quick actions column in the pop-up menu.
- You will then see the list of Credit Cards. Click on the one you want to apply for.
- A new webpage opens. Fill up the personal details there- name, residential city, referral code (optional), and phone number.
- Click on the send OTP option and enter the OTP you receive on your mobile number.
- Then fill out your professional details – occupation, company name, designation, annual income, pan number and date of birth. And click on next.
- Enter your residential address and submit.
- An SBI representative will soon call you to take the application forward.

If you do not have the application number, then enter your first name and the mobile number just beside it in the retrieve application column and click on the retrieve button. Soon after that, they will ask you for your date of birth and pan number. Enter it to retrieve the application. - As soon as the SBI credit card status is tracked, one of the following statuses will be displayed: progress, on-hold, approved, dispatched or disapproved.
