How to check the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) tax refund?

  • https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/ – go to this website and put in all the detailed information.
  • Select the option “View Returns/Forms”.
  • Go to the option “Income Tax Returns”.

  • Tap on the hyperlinked number.
  • You can visit the status of the refund.

Can I get a refund from NSDL? How to check the status?

People whose total annual income is more than Rs.2.5 lakh per annum are  required to file  income tax return every year. The refund status is also available on the TIN NSDL website. But the status on this website will be reflected after 10 days of sending the refund to the bank. To check the status here:

  • Go to the TIN NSDL website.
  • Here you have to put the details of the PAN.
  • Select the assessment year you need to check.
  • One captcha will appear on the screen.
  • Enter that captcha and press submit.

 

NSDL Income Tax Refund: How to request for reissue of income tax refund? 

In case the refund transaction is failed, there should be a new request for a re-issue of refunds. By going through the following steps, it will be easy to do so.

  • Go to the e-filing section.
  • Press the “My Account” tab and go to the “service request” tab.
  • You will find types of requests. Go to the new request option and select the category of refund reissue.
  • In the next screen, you will find out PAN, type of return, assessment year, etc.
  • Click on the submit option.
  • Also, submit banking details as well as address details.
  • A verification process will be started automatically and the process will be completed.

 

NSDL Income Tax Refund: What are the options for a refund status check?

To check the refund status, you will find a few options like mode of payment, reference number, date of the refund, income tax refund status, etc. 

When all procedures are thoroughly done and checked, you may find one of the following refund statuses.

  • No e-filing for this assessment year.
  • Not determined.
  • Refund paid.
  • No demand no refund.
  • ITR proceeds and refunds determined, sent out to refund banker.
  • Refund unpaid.
  • Contact Jurisdictional Assessing Officer.
  • Demand determined.
  • Rectification proceeds, refund determined, sent out to refund banker.
  • Rectification proceeded on. Demand determined.
  • Rectification proceeded on a specified date. No demand no refund.

 

NSDL Income Tax Refund: How to make a refund reissue request? 

In case the refund process fails due to an incorrect address, it is mandatory to change the address. You can go with the following steps to change the address.

  • Go to the e-filing website.
  • Go to the user account.
  • Choose refund re-issue request.
  • On the next page, go to the option of entering a new address.
  • Go for all the necessary changes.
  • Submit the request.
