Using a manual balloon pump

Balloon pumps are one of the most efficient and easy ways to inflate balloons. They can help you inflate a large number of balloons in a short time.

The first step here is to attach the nozzle to the pump and then stretch the balloon over the nozzle such that it covers the nozzle’s tip. Now carefully inflate the balloon but make sure you don’t end up over-inflating it.

Slowly and gently remove the nozzle as you pinch the balloon’s neck, and then tie it up securely in order to prevent any air loss.

Using your breath

Using breath to inflate balloons is a traditional and one of the most used ways. The first step is to stretch the balloon and gently blow air into it. As you do this, make sure that the air does not escape, and once you have filled the balloon to the desired size, you can tie the knot and repeat the process.

This process is generally followed when there are fewer balloons to be inflated because if you inflate a large number of balloons, you may end up hurting your cheeks.

Using an electric balloon pump

Using an electric balloon pump is another easy and quick way to inflate balloons. For a large party that requires a lot of balloons, they save up time.

The first step is to plug in the electric balloon pump after assembling its parts. You will generally need to attach a nozzle to the tube.

Then stretch the balloon and cover the nozzle tip with it and slowly pump in the air. Once you reach the desired size, stop pumping and carefully tie the knot.

Usually, there are high chances of over-inflating the balloon with an electric balloon pump, so make sure you stop once the balloon reaches its maximum capacity.

Using Helium

Helium adds a mesmerising touch to your party as it makes the balloons float and touch the ceiling. You can fill the room with helium balloons and cover the entire ceiling with them to add a special effect.

The first step is to buy a helium tank which is easily available in the market. Then attach the valve to the tank and insert it inside the balloon.

Slowly press down the valve and fill the balloon. Again, the last step is to tie a knot and let the balloon float in the air and do its magic!

For a much more beautiful and magical effect, you can even tie a ribbon to the balloon end.

Using a straw

Blowing your breath directly into the balloon can be a bit tough, so you can even use a straw to blow air into the balloon’s opening easily. Make sure that the straw is at least an inch inside the balloon so it does not come out while inflating. Then blow air inside the balloon and tie a knot to secure it.

FAQs

Can I use a bike pump to inflate balloons?

It is generally advised not to use a bike pump as it throws out air at a much higher pressure than is required to fill a balloon. You may end up bursting the balloon in such a case.
