The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and Tata Power Company Limited have formed a joint venture known as Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), which was formerly known as North Delhi Power Limited (NDPL). Tata Power Company Limited has a majority stake in the venture and holds 51% of the company’s shares.
TPDDL began doing business on July 1, 2002, and it now provides services to 7 million residents of Delhi’s North and North West neighbourhoods. As of June 2022, the company’s activities cover a total area of 510 square kilometres and have a recorded peak load of around 2115 megawatts.

Steps to pay bill on the TPDDL portal
- Visit the official TPDDL portal.
- On the right sidebar of the home page, click on “Pay Your Bill”
- A new page will open.
- Now enter your CA Number/Instalment Number followed by your Email Id for e-receipt.
- Enter the captcha and click on Pay Now.
- To successfully pay your bill online, you can use any of many different payment methods, including net banking, UPI, credit card, or debit card.
Steps to apply for new TPDDL connection
- Visit the official TPDDL portal.
- On the right sidebar of the home page, click on “Apply For New Connection”
- A new page will open where you will be presented with the terms and conditions.
- Carefully go through the information that is relevant to your connection. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the checkbox to continue.
- For domestic households, select the “Apply for 1kw-100kw” connection.
- A new page will open where you have to click on the “new connection” option.
- Please ensure that all of the required information is provided to have a successful application for the new connection.

- Ration card having a photograph
- PAN card
- Photo Id card issued by any Govt agency.
- If the applicant is an organisation, a certificate of incorporation or registration issued by the Registrar, as well as evidence of authority or a decision of the Board for approving the individual, are required.
Steps To Pay TPDDL Bill through Google Pay
- Run Google Pay on your mobile device.
- Select “Pay Bills”
- Select “Electricity”
- Choose ‘Tata Power- DDL’ from the available choices.
- Enter your CA number and then click the “Link Account” button.
- You may either let the system retrieve your bill or manually input the amount you desire to pay. Enter your PIN to successfully complete the transaction.
Steps to pay TPDDL bill through PhonePe
- Launch PhonePe on your mobile device.
- Select “Electricity” under “Recharge and Pay Bills.”
- Choose ‘Tata Power- DDL’ from the available choices.
- Enter your CA number and then click the “Link Account” button.
- The amount due will be shown. Enter your PIN to successfully complete the transaction.
Steps to pay TPDDL bill through PayTM
- Launch the PayTM app on your mobile device.
- Choose “Electricity Bill” under “Recharge & Bill Payments.”
- Choose “New Delhi” from the choices provided.
- Choose ‘Tata Power- DDL’ from the available choices.
- Enter your customer number and click “Continue.”
- The total amount due will be shown on the screen. After that, you may pay your power bill.
Steps to pay TPDDL bill through Amazon Pay
- Launch the Amazon app on your mobile device.
- Select “Amazon Pay”
- Under “Pay Bills,” choose “Electricity.”
- Choose New Delhi from the state list.
- Select “Tata Power – Delhi” from the available choices.
- Enter your CA number and then click the “Get Bill” button.
- Proceed with the payment process to successfully pay your bill.

Paying more than what is due will result in an adjustment to your following month's payment
Will I be charged a processing fee if I pay with a debit or credit card?
A processing charge will be applied to invoicing amounts more than Rs.5,000.
What happens if I don't pay my power bills on time?
If you do not pay your power bills on time, the electricity board will charge you a late fee. If you do not make the payment, your connection will be disconnected.
Can I set up a standing instruction to take the money from my account on the due date?
Yes, you may set up a standing instruction to deduct the money from your account on the due date.
