Illegal constructions from Rs 87-cr govt land demolished in Greater Noida

Unauthorised plots had been illicitly sold on this designated land.

January 19, 2024: Illegal constructions on government land measuring over 43,000 square metre (sqm) and valued at Rs 87 crore were dismantled in Greater Noida on January 18, 2024. The affected land, situated in Nanwa Razapur, is officially notified by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA). Unauthorised plots had been illicitly sold on this designated land.

Eviction notices were issued to illegal occupiers in the area, and on January 15, 2024, a formal complaint was lodged at the local police station for the removal of encroachments. Commencing on January 18, 2024, a team, led by senior manager Nagendra Singh, initiated the demolition of illegal structures around 1 PM. The demolition process employed dumper trucks and JCBs, conducted in the presence of authority officials and the police.

Nanwa Razapur, being a notified village under the authority, has warned of legal action against any further encroachments. The local work circles of GNIDA will now be vigilant in preventing land encroachments within their jurisdiction and will promptly take action upon receiving information about any illegal occupation.
