Construction materials brand Infra.Market has launched its first all-women ready-mix-concrete (RMC) plant in Pune. The first batch of around 10+ employees, the plant will manage end-to-end plant operations, quality control management and sales.
The manufacturing unit, operated entirely by a women workforce, is located at Mundhwa, Pune, with accessibility to the city centre and the outskirts of Pune. With an aim to create an inclusive workforce and offer economic opportunities for women across frontline positions, Infra.Market has witnessed an increase of women in manufacturing roles. The company has invested in training, automation, upskilling roles and increased its women workforce to over 80 women employees across its plants in India.
