August 8, 2024: Actor and politician Kangana Ranaut’s luxurious bungalow in Mumbai’s Pali Hill is reportedly on the market for Rs 40 crore. This property, which also functions as the office for her production company, Manikarnika Films, sits on a 285 square metre plot and has a construction area of 3,042 square foot (sqft). The bungalow includes a 500 sqft parking space and is spread across three levels.
In a recent video posted by Code Estate on YouTube, viewers are given a tour of the opulent property. The office for Manikarnika Films, designed by Shabnam Gupta, showcases a wooden staircase, a large main workspace, an editing studio, a discussion area and a conference room. The second floor features a large meeting space, while the mezzanine offers additional seating. There’s also a bathroom with a shower, wardrobe and dressing area. The entire space is furnished to resemble a Parisian café, enhanced by French doors featuring delicate sheer blinds, custom furniture from Rajasthan, exposed ceiling beams and touches of greenery.
This bungalow gained significant attention in 2020 when the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) partially demolished it, citing illegal construction. The demolition, which targeted parts of Kangana’s office in Pali Hill, Bandra (West), was halted midway following a stay order from the Bombay High Court on September 9, 2020. Kangana subsequently filed a lawsuit against the BMC and initially sought Rs 2 crore in compensation but later withdrew her claim in May 2023.
