Housing.com POV

The property tax is a major revenue stream for the KDMC using which the twin cities are developed. All property owners mandatorily have to pay the KDMC Property Tax. The municipal body gives rebates to people who pay their property tax before the due date and also offer an amnesty scheme to people who have defaulted on paying their property tax. However, even if multiple notices on behalf of the KDMC go unheard of, then the municipal body has the right to attach the property and even auction it. It is recommended that one doesn’t go to that level and pay the required property tax on time by using the online, mobile app or the offline mode.
