About Mojani

There was no such thing as a land registry in existence under either the Mughal or the Peshwa periods. The British government decided to establish some kind of disciplinary system to facilitate the process of collecting taxes and running the government more efficiently. The record of all of the talukas, villages, and districts was compiled for the very first time then. The mojani procedure, which mostly consisted of measurements with the help of cone chains, served as how the land surveying was executed.

As indicated above, the land surveying system was set up and governed by the British government. To maintain and improve the paperwork, they also formed a revenue agency. The objective of the revenue department is to draw up legal property maps that take into account how the land is really used.

Previously, a land map was provided for a property that included a total of 25 acres in size. It was only afterwards that e mojani Maharashtra was released, allowing residents to apply for mojani online and track its status. The Settlement Commissioner also serves as the Director of Land Records for the Land Record Department at present.

What is “Conical Chain surveying,” and how does the process work?

A method of land surveying known as conical chain surveying makes use of chains or tape rather than traditional measuring tape. Chain surveying is a method that can only provide linear measurements; angular measurements are not attainable with this method. This method is used for determining the total land area of a comparatively small and level parcel of land. It is a survey that is carried out utilising the process of triangulation. When all of the measurements have been taken, the findings are written down on paper. During chain surveying, some of the equipment that is used include chains, arrows, pegs, range rods, offset rods, plumb bombs, and cross-staff.

What is e mojani?

Emojani, often known as e mojani, is a technique of creating electronic land survey maps or records that are offered by Bhulekh. It is a useful piece of evidence that demonstrates the land parcel in question is not suitable for agricultural use.

National Land Records Modernization Program

Keeping land records (counting of land records) electronically is called “e-counting” in Maharashtra. Tenure, allotment, non-farming use, land acquisition, judicial allocation, court commission, and gunthewari are all counted electronically.

Furthermore, the sort of charge paid is also a factor. The computation is performed according to the urgency level (non-urgent, urgent, very urgent, and very urgent). A person may now fill out an enumeration application from the comfort of their own home; upon completion, they will get a token number. Proceed to the local land records office to file a 7/12 form and accompanying fees. Following application submission, your counting case will be recorded with complete details.
