Maharashtra to launch policy on hoardings in MMR

This will also prevent any accidents in the city that can be caused by illegal hoardings.

July 2, 2024:  To prevent any mishap caused by illegal hoardings in the city, the Maharashtra government will soon release a policy on its implementation in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). As per media reports, this was confirmed by Uday Samant, state minister in the legislative assembly on July 1.

On May 13, 2024, around 17 people died in Ghatkopar after an illegal hoarding collapsed on them due to a sudden storm in the city.

Samant told the media that a policy will be unveiled once the code of conduct for the legislative council polls ends after the results are declared for the graduates and teachers constituencies.
