Mankoli-Motagaon Link Bridge may start ops by April 2023

The six-lane Mankoli Motagaon Link Bridge will provide connectivity to MMR through Kalyan Ring Road, Katai Naka- Badlapur-Karjat

Travel time between Dombivli and Thane is cut short to 20 minutes from the usual 1 hour, owing to the upcoming Mankoli-Motagaon Link Bridge that is around 84% complete. The MMRDA has asked officials to expedite work on the bridge to facilitate operations of the bridge by April 2023.

The 6-lane Mankoli Motagaon Link Bridge will provide connectivity to MMR through Kalyan Ring Road, Katai Naka- Badlapur-Karjat. Additionally, it will decongest areas including Mumbra, Shilphata, Kalamboli and Panvel.

According to an MMRDA tweet, SVR Srinivas, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA reviewed the progress of the Motagaon-Mankoli creek bridge and road work.

Work on the Mankoli-Motagaon Link Bridge began in February 2017 and was originally scheduled to be ready by 2019. The project got delayed owing to land acquisition challenges at Mankoli among other reasons.
