May 7, 2024: Â The Mumbai Metro Line 3, after over six and half years of tunnelling construction, is close to its operational phase. As part of this, the metro authorities are planning to start with trails till Siddhivinayak or Dadar Station.
According to media reports, on the Mumbai Metro 3, infrastructure tasks including overhead electrification (OHE) and track-laying have been completed up to Dadar Station. This trial will help gather inputs that will be useful when the official trails happen till the Acharya Atre Chowk.
Mumbai Metro Line 3: Phase-wise opening
Also known as the Aqua Line, the Mumbai Metro Line 3 will be made operational in phases.

While Phase-1 was supposed to start operations in May, there is some delay owing to trail runs. Media reports suggest that Phase-1 will start operations in July end. As a result, operations for Phase-2 and Phase-3 will also be pushed ahead.
