What is the definition of an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a contract between a person (the apprentice) who wants to acquire talent and an employer who needs a skilled worker (the employer). It is from some of India’s most prestigious firms that the apprentices learn the most up-to-date tools, processes, and techniques in their particular work areas.

National Apprenticeship Training Scheme 2022

NATS apprenticeship is a 1-year programme that provides technically trained individuals with the practical knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their chosen area of employment. Organisations train apprentices on-the-job. Trained Managers and well-developed training modules guarantee that apprentices promptly and successfully acquire work skills. Apprentices are given a stipend throughout their apprenticeship, 50% of which is reimbursable to the employer by the Government of India.

Interested students can pursue a one-year training programme at state and federal government institutions and commercial institutions such as BHEL, HAL, BEL, ISRO, ODF, NPCIL, Central Coalfields Limited, NTPC, ONGC, State Farms Corporation of India, WAPCOS Limited, and NEEPCO.
