The National Art Gallery is one of the prime attractions in Bhaktapur, which has cloth paintings, Buddhist thangkas and palm-leaf manuscripts. It also boasts of objects made from wood, stone and metal dating back to the 12th century. Visit the tallest temple of Nepal, Nyatapola, which is over 30 metres in height. The temple is dedicated to a form of Goddess Durga, Siddhi Laxmi. The beautiful pagoda-style temple in Taumadhi Square was built in 1702 AD by Bhupatindra Malla.
