New Town Kolkata Development Authority has jurisdiction over the area due to its proximity to Kolkata (NKDA). New Town’s roads, drains, sewage lines, water supply lines, major beautification works, and HIDCO’s buildings, projects, parks, museums, subways, and over-bridges all owe their existence to the company’s meticulous planning.
