NH 117 latest update
NHAI has decided to construct a 7.2 km six-lane elevated super highway on NH 117. With this, the authority aims to decongest the Kona Expressway. It is estimated to be built at a cost of Rs 839.40 crore and is expected to be completed by 2026. Also, the Second Vivekananda Bridge Tollway Corporation Private Limited (SVBTC) has proposed a ring road of 200 km at a whopping cost of Rs 4000 crore. Once completed, the ring road will connect Diamond Harbour Road at Amtala, Howrah, Kolkata and North and South 24 Parganas.
