NMMC releases list of 527 unsafe buildings in Navi Mumbai

Of the 527 buildings, 62 buildings fall under the extremely dangerous category (C1) and are unfit for residential or commercial use.

June 3, 2024: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) on May 30, 2024 released a list of 527 dangerous buildings in the city. These have been declared dangerous under the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act section 264.

They were identified as part of the inspection exercise for 2024-25 that the municipal body carried out to prevent any kind of untoward incident during the monsoons. 

Of the 527 buildings, there are 62 buildings that fall under the extremely dangerous category (C1) and are unfit for residential or commercial use. According to the municipal body, these have to be vacated and demolished immediately.
