Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation suspends water supply on March 27

Water supply with low pressure will resume on March 28.

March 27, 2024: Water supply will be suspended in all areas falling under the jurisdiction of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) and Kharghar and Kamote on March 27. There will be no water from 10 AM to 8 PM. This water suspension has been announced to complete the maintenance work on the main pipeline from Bhokarpada Water Treatment Plant to Morbe Dam.

Water supply will be cut in Airoli, Belapur, Ghansoli, Kamote, Kharghar Koperkhairane, Nerul, Turbhe and Vashi.  Water supply with low pressure will resume on March 28.

Note that while this is a regular maintenance work,   many cities in India including Bangalore are facing acute water shortage. With summers approaching in the country, water conservation should be the mantra. Ensure that no drinking water is wasted and use recycled water for secondary purposes such as gardening, washing cars etc.
