No online applications for project registration extension from March 1: Rajasthan RERA

This was allowed as an exception due to the coronavirus pandemic.

February 27, 2024: Effective March 1, 2024, the Rajasthan Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has issued an order stating that the RERA authority will not accept online applications for project registration extension under force majeure on the basis of the corona pandemic.  

Under section 6 of the RERA Act with Proviso to Rule 7 of the Rules, Section 37 of the RERA Act and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Rajasthan RERA had issued directions for accepting online applications for the extension of registration of project due to Corona Pandemic under force majeure vide order which was effective upto March 31, 2021.

Under RERA Act, 2016, it is mandatory for all projects that are being developed in Rajasthan to be RERA registered. Each project has to necessarily have a unique RERA registered number.
