June 25, 2024: The inauguration of the Noida International Airport by the end of 2024 has been postponed by seven months, the airport said in a statement. Owing to delay in construction, the Noida International Airport located at Jewar is now expected to start operations by April end 2025.
According to the official statement, the airport said, “In view of the current construction status, we expect to begin commercial operations by the end of April 2025. We are working together with our EPC contractor Tata Projects Limited and with other stakeholders to keep the pace of construction activities and preparations for operational readiness high”.

Media reports mention that the Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) which is overseeing the construction of the greenfield international airport at Jewar has informed the Uttar Pradesh government that around 78.11% work at the Noida Airport has been completed. There is work pending on the terminal building side owing to which there is delay in starting with the operations.
Spread across 1,334 hectare, the Noida International Airport is being constructed at Jewar located in Gautam Buddha Nagar, UP. PM Modi had laid the foundation stone of the airport in November 2021.
